Les Savory, Chief Executive. 30 years infrastructure operations experience. In rail, Les progressed from signal box lad to Railtrack management. Railsafe was his inspiration in 1996 focusing on rail safety services. He led the diversification into road services in 2005 and is now responsible for developing new markets, services, construction recruitment and sub-contractor opportunities at Infrasafe.

Keith Hindhaugh, Managing Director. Joined the Company in 2000, quickly progressing from handsignalman to planning major rail possessions. Keith became Operations Director in 2007, working closely with clients including Network Rail, Nexus, Amco, Arup and May Gurney. As MD, he will continue to oversee relations with rail clients and drive operations in the public sector and other infrastructure markets.

Brian Cairns, Commercial Director. Joined the Company in 2009 as Marketing Manager. Brian previously worked in marketing and business development roles in the agency and manufacturing sectors with leading construction, local authority and ‘blue chip’ organisations. As Commercial Director, he is responsible for new business and subcontractor development, PR and marketing strategy.

Tony Hope, Contract Manager (Rail). In his second spell at Infrasafe. Tony joined as Possession Co-ordination Manager in 2000, left to take up a more senior role and returned in 2006 as Operations Manager. Tony's skills are in risk assessment, planning and managing people. He has an excellent reputation in the rail industry and is responsible for our operations and recruitment in this sector.

Jan King, General Office Manager. Jan joined us in 2000. She is responsible for managing training and assessment for Infrasafe and our clients' employees. This includes training course scheduling, determining employees' skills and training needs and working with clients to cater personalised training requirements, Jan manages our procurement , liaising with suppliers.

Fiona Morrison, Finance Manager. Joined the Company in 2003 as Financial Controller and Office Manager. Fiona's financial accounting experience includes a role at Sage. She is responsible for providing effective credit control and payment systems. Fiona manages financial and office administration and is our computer expert, overseeing our IT strategy. She is an ACCA qualified professional.

Darren Backhouse, Resource Manager. Darren joined the Company in 1998 progressing through the ranks to the competences of PICOP and RIMINI Planner. Well known in the rail industry, Darren has a BSc (Hons) in Physical Electronics and MSc in Opto Electronics so he knows his theory. Responsible for planning safe work systems and recruiting safety personnel for each worksite and project.

Peter Afendoulis, Resource Assistant. Joined us in 2005 following retirement from the Army. Peter's military background saw him serve as Major in the Royal Logistics Military Core. It is military precision that's essential in Peter's role as document controller. He ensures that personnel rosters are updated for clients and is responsible for critical stores control and provision of equipment to meet project needs.

Rachael Warneford, Office Administrator. Joined the Company in 2008. Rachel is responsible for ensuring administrative systems are working effectively. This includes arranging certification and medicals for our team of key operatives and maintaining our database of competent personnel. Supports the Finance Manager and General Office Manager and is the friendly voice on the end of the phone.

Ian Akers, Trainer/Assessor. Joined the Company in 2000 as Track Safety Trainer. With 30 years railway experience, Ian previously worked for British Rail as a Track Safety Trainer and Duty Station Manager. His role as Track Safety Trainer/ Assessor is to deliver Network Rail approved track safety courses and assess staff to SPICOP level. Also, qualified to train and assess to Core Planner Skills levels 1 and 2.

Mick Dunn, Trainer. Joined the Company in 2009. Learning his trade in the Royal Navy as a Senior Aircraft Technician, he trained engineering officers and leading aircraft technicians in various fields of safety including helicopter engineering. Transferring these skills to Infrasafe, Mick provides training in a range of courses including PTS and general health & safety and first aid programmes.
