Nexus, the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive has awarded Infrasafe UK Limited a contract for the provision of Track Safety and General Supervision Services. The contract, awarded for three years, includes the option to extend for a further 12 months. During this period Infrasafe will provide safety critical staff and support to allow Nexus to undertake small and temporary works on the Tyne & Wear Metro rapid transit and light rail system as part of its £350 million plus all change modernisation programme.
