Track Safety Training
Duration of Course: 1 Day
Maximum no. of Candidates: 8
Course Aims:
This course is aimed at candidates who are required to set up safe systems of work for themselves and who are not qualified as either Controller of Site Safety or Individual Working Alone and is primarily designed to meet the needs of train fitters/maintenance staff who may well have other persons working with them (i.e. assistants)
Objectives:
• Upon successful completion of the course candidates will be able to:
Set up a safe system of work for themselves and/or small groups working on the railway
• Act as a Designated Person on Network Rail’s infrastructure in accordance with industry standards
Other Information:
• Following successful completion of the course Infrasafe Training will issue candidates with certification
• Re-certification is required every two years and consists of a one day classroom based course and assessment
