Infrasafe leads the field in the development and manufacture of technology-based systems designed to improve railway safety and communications. The Company has established a reputation for providing rail safety services based on practical industry knowledge and experience, combined with the key ability to innovate flexible solutions to many of the traditional problems associated with working on the railway.

Infrasafe works closely with clients to design and develop bespoke planning and operational systems to meet their exact needs whatever the application. Our team has over 100 years’ railway operational management experience and has specialist knowledge in the design of track based solutions and database led systems including:

        Railway operational management systems
Railway works and safety planning systems
Track-based topology systems for Network Rail and Metro operators
        Railway staff competency systems
Other systems including non-rail sector applications

With the complexity of railway possessions, Infrasafe created the industry’s first magnetic track diagrams  - static boards equipped with magnetic symbols to denote work sites, trains and other key features. This system has become a benchmark safety operations and planning tool within Network Rail possession control centres.

With technological advances, Infrasafe has recently developed the Remote Operational Management System (ROM's), a web-based tool operated live by users to improve possession management and which can be used when normal operating signalling is not available.

The Infrastructure Mapping System (IMS) is another key solution developed by Infrasafe’s design team. IMS is a web-based system that provides comprehensive railway infrastructure data - from signalling layouts to track access points - providing 24/7 reference for planners and safety staff.

Where stated, Infrasafe has filed UK and International patent applications for systems which are patent pending and protected by patent law.
