Course Outline:
Managing Safely is for those required to manage safely and effectively to comply with their organisation's policies and the best practice in health and safety. It provides managers and supervisors with the skills and techniques to monitor current safety performance and to introduce controls and initiatives so that the organisation’s health and safety performance can
be improved. The Managing Safely course is accredited by IOSH—the Institution for Occupational Safety & Health. The course is nationally recognised as providing good health and safety training for managers and supervisors. The course has recently been revamped to make it much more interactive.

Certification:
For delegates who attend the course and successfully complete the written and practical assessments an IOSH Managing Safely certificate is awarded.

Course Content and Duration:

The course comprises the following core modules:

• Introducing managing safely
• Identifying hazards
• Assessing risks
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Controlling risks
• Measuring performance
• Understanding your responsibilities
• Protecting our environment

An additional organisation specific module can also be added if required. The course requires a total direct input period of
at least 24 hours plus assessment time. It can be delivered over four consecutive days or on a oneday a week basis over four weeks. It can even be delivered as an evening course to meet the candidates’ needs. It is available both as an open
course delivered at our modern Training Centre or as in-house training at your own premises.
